Warning:

atomic ops do not include memory barriers see atomic_ops.h for more details.

not tested on ppc64

Config defines:

• NOSMP
• __CPU_ppc64 (powerpc64 w/ 64 bits long and void*)
• __CPU_ppc (powerpc or powerpc64 32bit mode)
